Najistaknutije kulturne znamenitosti stare jezgre grada su: crkva sv. Donata, Forum, katedrala sv.

ENG

Zadar is an ancient city in the centre of the Croatian Adriatic coast with a rich historical and cultural heritage. A three thousand years old city with long and turbulent history,

The most prominent cultural landmarks of the old town are the Church of St Donat, the Forum, the St Anastasia’s Cathedral

A new and modern structure worth mentioning is the world’s first sea organ located near the new cruiser dock, both a part of the new promenade, the Zadar Riva.

Sea Organ organ which, unlike ordinary organ driven bellows or air pump, gives more energy, or waves. Located in the west part of the waterfront near the Sun Salutation.

Pozdrav suncu

Greeting to the Sun consists of three hundred multi-layered glass plates placed on the same level with the stone-paved promenade in a circle diameter of 22 meters. Apart from looking at the sun from the west side, and above the Sea organs are located and the other planets of the solar system.

Simultaneously with the sunset, the lighting elements installed in a circle, and a particularly programmed scenario, they produce a very impressive show of light.

Grad Nin

Crkva sv. Nikole

A recognisable symbol of Nin is the Church of St Nicholas, located in the field of Prahulje, it is very important for the rulers of the Croatian dynasty and for the history of Croatia and Nin. According to tradition, seven Kings were crowned in Nin, and every crowned ruler rode on horseback to the Chruch of Saint Nicholas, and it was in fact here that he would be presented to the people by the same symbolic ritual-on that mound he would cut with a sword the four corners of the world.

Dodirnete li palac brončanog kipa Grgura Ninskog, biskupa i velikog zagovornika staroslavenskog jezika i narodnog pisma, sreća vam je, kaže predaja, zajamčena.

If you touch the thumb of a bronze statue of Gregory of Nin, the bishop and the great advocates of the Old Slavonic language and national letters, lucky you, says tradition, guaranteed
